Zhejiang Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise and a “Little Giant” specialized SME, one of China’s Top 500 private enterprises.
The company focuses on electronic functional materials, including thermal interface materials, electromagnetic shielding films, and microwave-absorbing polymer composites. Its products are widely used in consumer electronics, 5G communication, and new energy vehicle industries.
The 120㎡ R&D laboratory is primarily used for material cutting, grinding, sample preparation, and performance testing, requiring strict dust control and cleanliness standards.
The laboratory faced several operational and environmental challenges:
· Continuous generation of fine composite dust during cutting and grinding processes
· Rapid dust re-accumulation on floors, samples, and precision instruments
· Manual cleaning required 4 times per day, 40 minutes per session
· Traditional cleaning methods caused secondary dust contamination
· High consumption of consumable cleaning materials (1,200 RMB/month)
These issues negatively impacted research efficiency, sample integrity, and operational costs.
To address these challenges, SIBEN Technology implemented a compact lithium battery-powered automatic floor scrubber (Kenan model), specifically optimized for small laboratory environments with high cleanliness requirements.
Key features include:
· Fully sealed dust-control airflow system
· HEPA-grade filtration for fine particle capture
· Integrated scrubbing, vacuuming, and dust filtration in one operation
· Anti-static rubber strip design suitable for electronic laboratory floors
· Up to 99.7% dust retention efficiency
In addition, on-site support was provided, including dust environment testing, brush pressure calibration, engineer-led commissioning, and operator training to ensure smooth deployment.

After implementation, significant improvements were achieved:
Efficiency Improvement:
· Cleaning time reduced to 15 minutes per session
· Overall cleaning efficiency improved by 79.2%
· Cleaning frequency reduced from 4 times/day to 2 times/day
Cost Reduction:
· Monthly consumable cost reduced from 1,200 RMB to 260 RMB
· Monthly savings of approximately 940 RMB
· Sample contamination-related failure rate reduced by 92%
Environmental Performance:
· Dust levels met electronic laboratory cleanliness standards
· Successfully passed internal environmental compliance inspection

“Previously, manual cleaning always caused dust re-suspension, which frequently contaminated samples and interrupted research work. With this scrubber robot, the entire lab can be cleaned in about 15 minutes without any dust generation.
