1. Equipment Cleaning
Cleaning of Collection Bag (or Collection Bin): After turning off the leaf suction machine, remove the collection bag (or collection bin) from the equipment. If it is a collection bag, empty the leaves out of it. Then it can be rinsed with clean water or shaken to remove the remaining dust and debris. However, make sure the collection bag is completely dry before reinstalling it on the equipment. For the collection bin, simply empty the leaves and wipe the inside with a damp cloth to clean the dirt and dust.
Cleaning of Vacuum Pipe: Check whether there are any leaves or other debris remaining in the vacuum pipe. If so, a long-handled tool or compressed air can be used to blow or remove them to keep the vacuum pipe unobstructed.
Cleaning of Machine Body: Wipe the machine body of the leaf suction machine with a clean damp cloth to remove the surface dust, leaf debris and dirt, keeping the equipment clean and tidy. At the same time, check whether each component of the equipment is loose or damaged. If necessary, tighten or replace it on time.
2. Equipment Maintenance
Electric Leaf Suction Machine: Regularly check the heat dissipation of the motor and ensure that there is no debris piled up around the motor to avoid affecting the heat dissipation effect. Check whether the power cord has signs of wear or aging. If there is a problem, replace it promptly. For a motor with carbon brushes, regularly check the wear degree of the carbon brushes according to the usage and replace them if necessary.
Fuel-Powered Leaf Suction Machine: After using the fuel-powered leaf suction machine, let the engine run for a few minutes until it cools down naturally. This can prevent the engine from being damaged due to overheating. Regularly replace the engine oil and air filter and maintain it according to the requirements of the equipment manual. Check whether the fuel pipeline has signs of aging or leakage and replace the faulty fuel pipe promptly. At the same time, check and clean the spark plugs of the engine and replace them if necessary to ensure the normal start and operation of the engine.
3. Storage
Store the cleaned and maintained leaf suction machine in a dry, well-ventilated place and avoid direct sunlight. If it is stored for a long time (more than one month), a layer of anti-rust oil can be applied on the surface of the metal parts of the equipment to prevent rusting. Sort out the power cord or other accessories and store them together with the main body of the equipment to avoid loss or damage.
The leaf suction machine is a practical green cleaning tool. Through correct use, timely cleaning and maintenance, its service life can be extended and work efficiency can be improved, making your leaf cleaning work easier and more convenient. Whether it is a home garden or a large green area, mastering the operation skills of the leaf suction machine will save you a lot of time and energy.
